KirsiMarja Metsähuone works with film, video and photography. She is interested in non-narrative in film and narration in photographic expression. Often she works with image-text hybrids. Themes of work include human interaction, urban action, feminist issues, decay, memory, body, identity. She holds a B.F.A. degree in experimental film and photography from San Francisco Art Institute in the US. Her M.F.A. degree in media arts is from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts. Her films and videos have been shown e.g. in United States, Finland, Italy, France, Spain, England and South America.
